Companies in Singapore that are unable to hold their Annual General Meeting (AGM) by the due date can apply for an Extension of Time (EOT) of up to 60 days. This option is available only to companies that are not exempted from holding an AGM.

Who Can Apply for an EOT?

An EOT application can be submitted by:

  • A company officer (e.g. director or company secretary)
  • A registered filing agent on behalf of the company

Supporting Documents (Examples)

Processing Time & Best Practices

  • ACRA typically takes at least 14 working days to process applications
  • Submit at least 14 working days before your AGM due date to avoid last-minute delays
  • Processing may take longer during peak periods or if additional clarification is needed

Further Extension of Time

If the company is still unable to hold the AGM after the first extension:

  • A further EOT can be requested via BizFile+
  • Approval is less likely unless you provide strong justifications
  • Fee remains S$200 for each application

Important Note: No Applications After Due Date

EOT or further EOT applications cannot be filed after your original or extended due date has passed.
